Lately we've been excited about the fall.  We asked a few friends what they would do if presented with an alternative living situation (perhaps another dimension) where it was fall for three quarters of the year followed by a solid winter.  The fall is a magical time where things start to smell like pumpkin spice and cinnamon.  The days get shorter and the leaves on the trees begin to change color and begin their free-flowing descent towards the changing earth below.  It's amazingly inspirational and frankly, we would be tempted to join such a world if we were given the chance.   Take a look at some of these soy candles, they are created carefully with just such an alternate dimension in mind.  In this world, dancing shadows cast their movements on the walls of an old house.  A cat rubs against your leg.  You're holding your favorite book and wearing a blanket or a cozy sweater. Permission to speak candidly? I hope I don't give away too many of our secrets here, but in some ways I don't mind if I do. For the last year I've had the unique and enchanting privilege of being the tester of my wife's soaps, candles and bath elixirs, as well as dozens of her other curious concoctions. It seems I am somehow useful because I represent the average person who has no idea of what to make of scented soy candles and cold processed bath products, but this has only been one of my commitments to Earth Berry's process. While it appears as if there are only a handful of candles available at the moment, her collection is growing steadily. The reason for this slow, thoughtful growth is that each of her products is created with something very special and that reason is intention. Welcome to ThePerfectBath! This page was created by the founders of Earth Berry Apothecary and its purpose is to create an informal setting where we can discuss our adventures in candle and soap making. The company started in the summer of 2020, which was an uncertain and chaotic time for everybody, and even though it has been a learning experience we have been going strong ever since. At Earth Berry Apothecary we make soaps through a variety of techniques. Our most popular method of soap making is called cold process and the difference it makes is unbelievable. Cold process soaps include several oils, all of which we are familiar with in comparison to store bought soap. Through the lengthy process of soap making we are able to create intricate designs and thoughtful patterns which we feel represent each soap's identity.
